Apply now for The Commonwealth Youth Awards 2023 are now accepting applications. The Awards honor outstanding young people throughout the entire Commonwealth. The awards, presented annually in March, honor young individuals who have made significant contributions to addressing global concerns, enhancing lives, and reaching the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The commonwealth youth awards for young leaders program has been ongoing and previous Winners have benefited from widespread recognition, financial awards, and priceless networking opportunities to advance their initiatives. The 2023 calendar year has been dubbed the “Year of the Youth” in celebration of the Commonwealth Youth Programme’s 50th anniversary, making this year’s prizes even more noteworthy.
Prizes To Be Won In The Ongoing Commonwealth Youth Awards Program 2023
Regional award winners will be selected from the jury’s selection of finalists, who will each receive a trophy, a certificate, and £1,000 in cash. These will also get an extra £2,000
A total monetary prize of $5,000 will be given to one of the regional award winners, who will also get additional recognition as the Commonwealth Young Person of the Year.
The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust (QCT) has partnered with the Commonwealth Secretariat for the second consecutive year to provide one winner with up to two years of flexible financing totaling £20,000 each year, as well as coaching opportunities and support for organizational development.
What Are Your Eligibility To Apply, Applicant Must:
Be a citizen of the Commonwealth, be between the ages of 15 and 29, and have worked professionally or volunteered in development for at least 12 months.
Create a social enterprise and/or participate in its founding.
Candidates must have a proven track record of carrying out significant development work that advances at least one of the 17 SDGs.
