The 4th MEST Africa Challenge, which will take place in 2022, is currently open to all digital firms from the five African markets of Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, and South Africa (MAC 2022). and it is been organized by the Meltwater Entrepreneur School of Technology
A Pan-African startup competition called MEST Africa Challenge (MAC) is for companies who are prepared to grow and enter new markets.
The competition was started with the intention of giving technology startups a platform to raise money, develop industry networks, and gain global visibility. It has since developed into a key fixture in Africa’s startup technology industry, providing hundreds of African entrepreneurs with an unheard-of global platform.
Finalists from each nation will compete on a global platform for up to US$ 50,000 in equity investment and the chance to join the MEST Portfolio and global community at the MEST Africa Demo Day in Accra, Ghana on December 1, 2022.
Regional Final Stages
By September 30, the companies who have been chosen to compete in this year’s MEST Africa Challenge country finals will be notified. The following dates will be when the shortlisted companies will present:
- October 4 – MAC Ghana (Accra)
- MAC Nigeria on October 6 (Lagos)
- October 11th – MAC Kenya (Nairobi)
- October 13th – MAC South Africa (Cape Town)
- October 14th – MAC Senegal (Dakar)

The Timelines For Pitching Exercise
- 29th July 2022 – 31st August 2022: Application period
- Applications are reviewed and shortlisted on a rolling basis.
- By September 9th, 2022, all regional Finalists will be informed.
- The Regional Finals will run from October 1 through October 15, 2022.
The Regional Finals winner will be revealed on the day of the event. The Final Demo Day will take place in Accra on December 1. The Regional Final winners will be flown to Accra at the end of November 2022 for the final pitch competition.
The MAC winner will be revealed that day.
