Breast Cancer Survivals

Breast Cancer Survivals, The International Day against Breast Cancer is observed on October 19 by the World Health Organization with the goal of increasing awareness and boosting women’s access to prompt and efficient screenings, diagnoses, and treatments. We shall be focusing on people diagnosed with breast cancer and how they overcome it by staying alive.

Breast Cancer Survivals

So many women and men have been diagnosed with breast cancer and many have lost their lives in the process, it is been regarded as an incurable disease but only a few have been able to overcome this slow-killing deadly disease.

One of the common but not common ways to cure breast cancer is to cut off the breast before cancer spreads all over the body, so many don’t have the courage to go through that but only a few did and they will live with the scar for the rest of their lives.

Several breast cancer survivors, some of whom are still undergoing treatment, have participated in a picture campaign showing off their mastectomy scars with pride.

The project, titled “Mastectomy,” consists of a collection of brutally honest photos that were published in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October as part of the Stand Up to Cancer campaign.

The author of these articles and photos about breast cancer is a mother named Sue, 69, who received her initial breast cancer diagnosis in 1993.

She had a mastectomy, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, and then, in 2011, cancer came back in her lymph nodes. She received further chemotherapy treatment and has since made a full recovery.
